God's kingdom may not look like much at first.
God's kingdom often appears small at first, hardly noticeable. Jesus compared it to a mustard seed which grows into a tree. At first it's easy to not realize its significance. But it grows. (See Matthew 13:31-33.)
Ezekiel saw a vision where a trickle of water flowing from God's throne became deeper as it flowed, eventually becoming a great river that couldn't be crossed. (See Ezekiel 47:1-12 and Revelation 22:1-2.)
The things you do for God may not seem to make that much difference in the moment. But often their significance grows over time as the healing power of Jesus and the love of the Holy Spirit and the mercy of God transform people who encounter your simple actions of faith and love.
God, help us to value your kingdom. Thank you that you are bringing healing to the nations. We praise you. Amen.
The video at the top of the page encourages you to value the small things of God's kingdom, which Jesus promises will grow in time.
